DoorDam is a great way to keep all types of flood water out by sealing your doorways and openings.
Your walls must be watertight (constructed of concrete, brick, sealed stone or other watertight materials in good watertight condition). DoorDam can work in wooden structures, but only if they are fully encircled by a watertight concrete foundation that rises at least 26" above the lowest doorway footfall. If the walls of your structure are not watertight, putting DoorDam in doorways will not provide adequate protection. Structures must not have basement windows or sunken/slanted cellar doorways. Properly installed in an otherwise watertight structure, DoorDam can seal out flood water up to 24" of water. And our DoorDam XL can hold back up to 34" of flood water. Hurricanes, excessive rain, spring flooding, river overflows, and all types of flooding will be stopped in its tracks.
