HydroLogs
Q: What are HydroLogs?
A: HydroLogs are stackable flood barriers from the makers of DoorDam. They are economical, durable, and easy to deploy. HydroLogs have an interlocking design that allows for fast deployment by one person with NO TOOLS. Each log is made from heavy duty, yet light weight, aluminum which is rust-free for repeated uses.
Q: Why would I use HydroLogs instead of DoorDam?
A: HydroLogs are more industrial and better suited to protect larger openings like store fronts, loading docks, and large garage openings from flooding.
Q: Where can I use HydroLogs?
A: Hydrologs are flood protection for well-maintained buildings that are watertight except for their doorways or a similar opening, just like DoorDam. Needless to say, if the walls of a structure are not watertight, HydroLogs alone will not provide adequate protection. The requirement for a watertight structure is explained in all HydroLog product literature and is part of the conditions agreed to in the purchase process.
Q: Can HydroLogs be used more than once?
A: HydroLogs can effectively protect you from floodwaters again and again. With durable, industrial, rust-free stainless steal components HydroLogs are ideal in wet coastal areas and with proper care and maintenance; your HydroLogs will last for years.
Q: How are HydroLogs shipped to me?
A: We use freight shipping which is sent to your nearest terminal. You can call to make your arraignments at 1-866-DOORDAM (366-7326). Our preferred Less Than Truck Load (LTL) carriers are Yellow Freight and A Duie Pyle, whom can deliver to your home. Provide us with your contact information that we can put on the Bill of Lading.
Q: Who makes HydroLogs?
A: HydroLogs, like DoorDam, are a proud innovation of Presray Corporation, the industry leader in protective door systems since 1955. Presray’s upstate New York facility manufactures massive flood barriers and watertight doors, along with other critical containment solutions such as security and airtight doors. The company has been credited with inventing much of today’s advanced flood barrier technology. Presray’s traditional customers include hospitals, nuclear power plants, defense installations, corporate headquarters, bio-hazard laboratories and NASA. Installations by Presray can be found throughout flood-plain areas, particularly along the Gulf Coast of the U.S. from Florida to Texas.
